Consequently students who have not completed a Bachelor’s degree in English in an EU/EEA country or in Australia, Canada, New Zealand or in the USA must have obtained an approved English language qualification. Following English language tests are accepted

University language certificates are not accepted.

Language requirements described above do not apply to the Master’s programme in International Technology and Innovation Management (MITIM). MITIM language requirements are defined separately www.lut.fi/mitim.

All language test results must arrive at University Admissions Finland by the application deadline:
University Admissions Finland
Yliopistonkatu 2
FI-00170 Helsinki, Finland

It is the applicant's responsibility to make testing arrangements to her/himself in time. Please be prepared that it may take several weeks before the testing results are published.

Submitting the language test scores - instructions for applicants:

TOEFL
- When filling out the TOEFL Registration form, please fill in University Admissions Finland's Institution code 3138 in the Score Report Recipient field. The TOEFL test score must arrive directly from the test organiser. Score slips or their copies provided by applicants are not accepted.

IELTS  -  The applicant should indicate in Section 23 of the IELTS registration form that University Admissions Finland is able to verify the score electronically. The testing centre will then make your IELTS score available to UAF.
An applicant's copy of the IELTS test score is also accepted. The authenticity of the test results will be automatically checked with the test organiser.  In cases of a test result is found to be a forgery, the application will be automatically rejected.

For CAE and CPE, please address the test results to University Admissions Finland. An applicant's copy of the test score is also acceptable, as long as it is verifiable from the test organiser. Include your Candidate's ID and secret code, if applicable (available for tests taken after 2005). Test scores sent as attachments to an e-mail message are not acceptable.

If you are applying to more than one programme and you verify your language skills to them with the same language test, University Admissions Finland needs to receive the test result only once.
