The compact campus area located by the beautiful Lake Saimaa offers LUT students all the student services needed. Many student appartments are located within walking distance, and the university premises offer everything from laboratories to library services, restaurants to health care services – all this literally under one roof.
The Student Union of Lappeenranta University of Technology, LTKY for short, unites its roughly 4300 student members and promotes their academic and personal well-being. In addition to making sure that the students’ voice is heard in the decision making of the university, LTKY organises a large variety of events around the year. More than 30 clubs offer a range of extra-curricular activities, including sports, cultural events, etc.
