Competencies and aptitude based on previous studies

To be admitted, the applicant must have completed at least 24 ECTS credits of studies in finance, accounting or economics. However, final theses or traineeships are not accepted. The competencies provided by previous studies are assessed by a representative of the Master’s programme in question.

Important! It is the applicant’s responsibility to list the above-mentioned studies and credits according to discipline in a separate appendix to the application. No statements on them will be made in advance.

  • To be admitted to the programme, applicants must present two letters of recommendation by two teachers from any of their previously attented educational institutions.
  • A letter of motivation

If the above-mentioned admission criteria are met, the applicants are ranked based on competencies acquired in previous studies, the letters of recommendation from the applicant’s previous educational institution, and the applicant’s letter of motivation. These areas are given scores as follows

1) Applicant’s previous studies (max. 4 points)

Studies (finance, accounting or economics) that provide the competencies required for the Master’s programme are given points as follows: 4 points 60 ECTS credits or more, 3 points 48–59 ECTS credits, 2 points 36–47 ECTS credits, 1 point 24–35 ECTS credits.

2) Letters of recommendation from two teachers from the applicant’s previous educational institution (max. 5 points)

3) Applicant’s motivation (max. 5 points)

Applicants write a letter of motivation (max. 1000 words), based on which their motivation is assessed. In the letter of motivation, applicants should describe the objectives, the relationship with previous studies and the reasons for choosing the MSF programme.
