Prior Studies in Business Administration
Applicants with the following degrees are eligible to apply for the MIMM programme:

A Finnish lower university degree in business administration (Bachelor of Science (Economics and Business Administration))

Bachelor of Business Administration (tradenomi) from a university of applied sciences

A Russian Spetsialist degree in the field in question
- A foreign university degree that provides eligibility for similar studies in the country in question, including an American-style, university-level BBA programme or an internationally accredited MBA programme (a minimum of 80 ECTS credits of business studies or sufficiently corresponding studies is required*)
Please note! Applicants with a Finnish or foreign higher university degree in business administration (Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration)) are not eligible.
*) Studies in the following areas, for example, are counted as business administration studies: accounting, marketing, finance, management and organisations, business law, economics, supply management, logistics and knowledge management. Methodology studies are also acceptable.
Business studies have to be carried out in at least three different business disciplines. Please note! It is the applicant's responsibility to list earlier business studies according to discipline to the application. One ECTS credit refers to an average input of 26 hours of work (including lectures, home assignments etc.).
Please note! If you are still studying or waiting for results, you may apply, but your degree must be completed and the degree certificate copy submitted to LUT by July 13, 2012.
English Language Proficiency
The applicant must submit a language-test certificate as proof of English-language skills. The English-language tests accepted and the respective minimum scores are:

TOEFL 80 iBT or 550 PBT or

IELTS 6.0 or

Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), grade A, B or C
Please note! A language certificate from a foreign applicant's home university is not sufficient.
TOEFL and IELTS certificates are valid for two years from the date of issue. CAE and CPE are valid indefinitely and there are no time limitations on the date of issue.
A language certificate is not needed if the applicant’s degree studies were in English in a EU/EEA member state, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the US. The fact that the language of education was English must be mentioned in the degree certificate, the appendix or the transcript, or in a separate official document provided by the higher-education institution.
