Admission Criteria and Selection

The admission process has two stages: applicants are invited for an interview based on a preliminary selection.

The preliminary selection is based on applications and takes into account the following:

• English language test certificate. The validity of the certificate (two years) and its score are verified.
• Applicability of the applicant’s degree. The applicability of the degree and the suitability of its content are verified.
• GMAT score.

The Final Selection
The final student selection is carried out at LUT School of Business. A personal interview with the MITIM Admission Committee is conducted at the end of the selection procedure to establish the applicant's motivation and commitment to pursuing an education and career in international business. For applicants residing in Finland, the interviews will be arranged as face-to-face interviews with the selection board in Lappeenranta. Foreign applicants will be interviewed by phone. The invitations to the interviews will be sent to applicants by e-mail.

The final selection is based on the applicant's degree certificate, English language skills, GMAT score and interview. Points will be given for these areas. The selections of the application round 2011 will be announced 2nd of May 2012.
