Required Enclosures to the Application 


After completing the online application and printing it out, the following documents should be submitted to University Admissions Finland:

1. The application form, duly completed and signed
2. A copy of your Bachelor’s degree certificate/Diploma from an institution of higher education and its Finnish, English, or Swedish translation
3. A Transcript of Records/Grade Report which indicates also the grading system of the institution of higher education and its Finnish, English, or Swedish translation
4. An English language test result (TOEFL iBT 80/PBT 550 or IELTS 6.0)
5. GMAT test  
6. A copy of your passport  ID page
7. CV 
8. Work references (optional)
9. Letters of recommendation (optional)

Documents can be submitted in Finnish, Swedish, or English (NOTE: All copies must be officially certified by the granting institution or a notary public! This also concerns Finnish applicants.)

Authentication
 

All translations of the required documents must be done by official translators or by an authorized official of the institution that has issued the original document. The translations must bear the stamp and signature of the translator. Please note that you must also send an officially certified copy of the translated document in its original language. All copies of the degree certificates /diplomas, transcripts/grade reports and language proficiency documents must be officially certified by the institution that has issued the original document or by a notary public. The authenticity of all documents submitted to LUT will be examined and the use of forged documents will lead to the automatic rejection of the applicant.

Language Test Results

All language test results must be sent directly to University Admissions Finland.  Please note that the testing centre must send the test results directly to University Admissions Finland by the application deadline. It is the applicant’s responsibility to make testing arrangements for her/himself. When filling out the TOEFL Registration Form, please fill in University Admissions Finland’s Institution Code 3138 in the Score Report Recipient field. When filling out the IELTS Application Form to take the test, please address the test results in section 24 (Institution Applications) to University Admissions Finland. Register yourself for a test soonest as next testing dates are available in January!

GMAT

Graduate Management Admission Test is required from applicants.
On the day you take the GMAT, before you begin the exam, please select the MITIM programme to receive your Official Score Report. LUT will receive the Official Score Report within 20 calendar days of your test.

Degree Certificates

Applicants who are still studying and will graduate after the application period must submit an official statement from their home institution stating the expected date of graduation or an officially certified copy of a temporary degree certificate to the University Admissions Finland during the application period. A certified copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate must be submitted directly to

Submission

Please make sure to attach your Application Form number to all of the documents. The Application Form number is printed on the top right hand corner of the Application Form you have printed out.

All the required documents must be mailed via regular (air) mail or sent through an international courier service (Fed-Ex, UPS, TNT, DHL, or similar) to the University Admissions Finland. E-mailed or faxed documents will not be accepted. If you use a courier service please also mark down the University Admissions Finland’s phone number +358 (0)9 191 23528.

The application form and the enclosures will not be returned to the applicant after processing.

The accepted students will be required to present the original documents when they arrive at the University. If it is revealed that false information has been provided, the right to study will be revoked.
