MITIM and MIMM students at KONE Building, 5th October 2011
A group of 23 Master students of MITIM and MIMM programmes visited Kone Corporation at Keilasatama, Helsinki. The afternoon session at KONE penthouse negotiation room began with an introduction to trainee possibilities at KONE by Sari Keihtä, and continued with the presentation of Tomio Pihkala, Kone Technology. Tomio Pihkala discussed the innovation management process of the company, and described the current environmental challenges of Kone, with examples of innovations related to each challenge. Professor Karl-Erik Michelsen ended the afternoon by reflecting the role of Kone Monospace innovation in the mid-1990’s in their company strategy and international expansion.

MITIM Public Defense 2011
MITIM program’s third Public Defense at LUT took place 7th - 8th June. All students defended their thesis successfully in front of the Public Defense committee.

LUT MITIM Group 2010-2012 visited St. Petersburg and GSOM for the first time
LUT MITIM group 2010-2012 with the programme's academic director professor Liisa-Maija Sainio visited Graduate School of Management for the first time 2.-3. December 2010. Students enjoyed having a dinner with the GSOM MITIM group and personnel, and on 3 December they attended a seminar "SUCCESSFUL INNOVATION MANAGEMENT PRACTICES" at GSOM.

2010 Graduation
23 students graduated from MITIM program on July 2nd 2010. The festive graduation took place in St. Petersburg. LUT warmly congratulates all graduates and wishes you a very bright future!

First MITIM group graduated
First MITIM students got their double degree in the summer 2009 after two years of studies. 21 MITIM students graduated from Lappeenranta University of Technology on Friday 26th June. Other ceremonious graduation for MITIM students was held on Friday 3rd July at St. Petersburg in Graduate School of Management. See pictures from the GSOM graduation party in the photo gallery!
MITIM program’s students defend their Master’s Thesis in a Public Defense at LUT 17th June
MITIM program’s first Public Defense at LUT takes place 17th June starting at 10am in room 7343. The defense is open for the public.
Students defend their thesis in front of an authoritative committee. The Public Defense Committee consists of 12 Russian and Finnish representatives from both the academic world and business life.
These first MITIM students will graduate 26th June from LUT and 3rd July from GSOM.
MITIM program's Business seminar 11th March 2009 at LUT!
LUT School of Business organises Finnish-Russian Seminar "Business Practice & Research Cooperation: Current Issues & Trends" on Wednesday 11 March at Skinnarila hall.
In the seminar the participants are welcome to meet the students of international Master's Degree Program (CBU) in International Technology and Innovation Management (MITIM). This program is a unique master's program jointly developed and implemented by two co-founders: LUT School of Business and the Graduate School of Management (GSOM) of St. Petersburg State University.
Keynote speakers are Associate Professor William Coyle, Babson College, USA and CEO Tuomo Rönkkö, MaintPartner Group.

Russian-Finnish Seminar
Business Practise & Research Cooperation: Current Issues & Trends at GSOM 17th November 2008
International Seminar “Business Research Cooperation: Current Issues and Trends” welcomed participation of MITIM students and representatives from leading international companies. The major focus of the seminar was a discussion of trends in Innovation, Information Technologies and Technological Management. The Seminar was organized for the second time as a part of the MITIM program.
