LUT School of Business conducts state-of-the-art scientific research in four cross-disciplinary areas spanning our academic fields of expertise. All areas relate to creating new knowledge on the sustainable competitive advantage of firms in rapidly changing global markets:
1) Networks and business models
2) Entrepreneurship and innovation
3) International business strategies and
4) Knowledge management.
Recent reports indisputably prove that LUT School of Business has succeeded in attaining its research goals. Investments in research yield efficient results in terms of international refereed publications. Moreover, the increasing number of research projects funded by the Academy of Finland testifies to the acknowledged high quality of the research in the faculty.
In our view, close contacts with industry are essential. A large number of our research projects have external funding. Operating at the interface of business and technology, we have successfully carried out pioneering studies that contribute business knowledge to projects funded by TEKES, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation.
