The School of Business and the other faculties at Lappeenranta University of Technology offer a doctoral programme that leads to a Doctor of Science degree. We are committed to training future specialists who will pursue careers in academia and business in which research qualifications are valued.
The LUT doctoral programme incorporates a course load and a doctoral dissertation, and typically takes four years to complete. During their doctoral studies students should
- acquire a deep understanding in their own field and area of research
- develop their capacity for independent and critical thinking
- be able to produce new knowledge independently.
