Welcome to CST home page!

The LUT Centre for Separation Technology (CST) is a cooperative institute between Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and industry. CST consists of seven laboratories from the Department of Chemical Technology together with 23 companies and 9 research institutes as members.

The need of separation technologies is increasing as environmental requirements tighten, mill water circuits are being closed, the recycling of waste is increasing, and the purity requirements for foodstuff and pharmaceuticals are increasing. The LUT Centre for Separation Technology, CST, was founded in 1997 as a response to these increasing demands offering research services and continuing education for industry.
