Separation and Waste Water Treatment Techniques in Chemical and Mining Industries 


The CST workshop “Separation and Waste Water Treatment Techniques in Chemical and Mining Industries. Finnish – Russian Cross-border Seminar” will be organised in Lappeenranta University of Technology on June 12-13, 2008.

The CST workshops are the cyclic events organised since ten years by Centre of Separation Technology (CST) . The centre, founded in 1997, is a cooperative institute between Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and industry. CST consists of seven laboratories from the Department of Chemical Technology and 25 member companies. It mission is:

to promote research and education in the area of separation technology to develop and to manage research projects in order to produce and bring out new knowledge, using in this work its member laboratories, to offer customised research services to its member companies.
The CST workshops are intended for researchers and engineers active in research, design and industrial production as well as for the students specialising in chemical and process engineering. The recent workshop “Mixing and Chemical Feeding” June 6-8,2007 was composed of 14 oral presentations and attracted around 70 participants from seven countries.
