An important research subject is the synthesis of distillation systems and retrofitting. Problems typical for petrochemical industry are extensively studied.
A lot of studies have been performed on the computer tools for the support of the engineering innovativeness and creativity in distillation flowsheet design. The implementation of the systems for other separation processes is offered as well.
