The aim of the project is to provide an overview of life cycle business with case studies. The studies are carried out in cooperation with businesses taking part in the project. The research will illustrate the transition of companies to life cycle business, and product and service concepts related to life cycle business.
Three universities (LUT, HUT, TUT), five professors and six Finnish businesses are involved in the project. It employs three full-time researchers (LUT, HUT, TUT) and hires four undergraduate researchers annually to prepare their Master’s thesis.
Goals of the Life Cycle Business (LCB) project:
- to create a new model for life cycle business
- to describe the processes of life cycle business and the necessary support structures
- to ascertain how product and service concepts are implemented in life cycle business
- to illustrate value development and innovation systems in life cycle business
