Modelling Business Concepts in the Productization and Commercialisation Know-how inPlastic Mechanics (LIIMA Project)  


The aim of the preceding LIMU project (added value to plastic mechanics products) was to create new business opportunities and make business operations more efficient for plastic mechanics enterprises by combining and applying new technologies and intelligent materials. As a spin-off of the LIMU project, the LIIMA project was launched (Modelling Business Concepts in the Productization and Commercialisation of Know-how in Plastic Mechanics). Its purpose is to support enterprise and research communities by generating innovative methods and systems enabling these innovations.

Contents of the LIIMA project:

  • Mapping new application areas for plastic products (remote diagnostics, security products, smart buildings, remote treatment products, entertainment products, etc.)
  • Generating new product innovations from the perspective of utilising new technologies
  • Development path: business operations / technology 
  • New products and related business models (e.g. industrial service)
  • Mapping and removing obstacles to commercialisation
  • Slogan in research: “Performance Opportunities => System Opportunities => Business Opportunities”
