The Language Centre at Lappeenranta University of Technology offers its students keys to success on the multicultural labour market. The centre boasts a wide range of language and communication courses in Finnish as a native or second language, English, German, Swedish, Russian, French, Spanish and Chinese. In addition, minor studies in Russian or German allow students to further enhance their knowledge of language and culture.
Studies at the Language Centre cover the different areas of language skills: reading, writing, listening comprehension, speech and intercultural communication. Some of the courses focus on honing one specific area, whereas others deal with all of them. Our aim is to equip LUT graduates for a career in an international environment.
