A Strategy Leading the Way 


In May 2006, the Language Centre staff started to work on a strategy. As a result of this joint effort, the staff formulated a set of values, a vision, a strategy and a mission statement.

Vision 2012:
The specialists in technology and business to whom the Language Centre provides education are able to communicate successfully in an international professional setting.

Strategy:
The Language Centre is an academic educational institute. Through a wide range of languages, courses and other services, the centre aims to develop communication skills needed in studies and at work by LUT undergraduate and postgraduate students, LUT staff, and if resources allow, also students of other educational institutions.

Mission Statement:
The Language Centre, in cooperation with the university, trains managers, researchers and other top professionals who have excellent language and communication skills and thrive in an international environment in different industry sectors.
