The Kouvola unit of Lappeenranta University of Technology provides university level know-how in the fields of technology and business studies through research and development and education.
The Kouvola unit represents LUT on the Kasarminmäki IT Campus, and its mission is to support the competitiveness of both the region and its enterprises by producing and merging internationally valued high-level expertise based on research, as well as by providing education to the enterprises and organisations in the region. In addition, the unit is an active participant in regional development, cooperation with the world of business, enterprises, educational institutes, municipalities and other public organisations.
The Kouvola unit of Lappeenranta University of Technology was founded in 2002. Today it employs 14 people, and its annual revenue is approximately one million euros.
