The information service provides assistance in information retrieval from the Lappeenranta Academic Library information sources. For independent or assisted searching, there is an extensive collection of Finnish and international databases and printed material. The information specialists also offer information searches and consultancy on commission.
To help library customers in finding the needed information, there is an information specialist on duty at the service desk on the 3rd floor next to the spiral staircase from 12 noon to 3 p.m. daily.
The information service carries out small-scale information searches free of charge for customers outside LUT and SUAS. If the search takes over half an hour, the library will charge a fee of 54 €/hour. Also possible direct costs are charged.
