You can study at LUT even if you are not a registered student. You can also complete individual courses if you are a foreign national living in Finland. However, completing individual courses does not give students the right to complete an entire degree. Being granted the right to study a specific course does not entitle the student to residence in Finland.
You may apply for the right to complete individual courses from the Faculty Dean or the Language Centre Director. The School of Business also permits students to complete separate study modules; applications should be addressed to the Dean. You can apply to have courses included in your previous degree or to update your professional expertise.
If you are granted the right to study, you may take part in regular daytime instruction in accordance with the course timetable. Separate study rights may be granted provided there is room in the group and the person has the skills and knowledge required to complete the course.
The fee for individual courses is EUR 60.
Details of LUT courses taught in Finnish, including course descriptions, are available in the Study Guides, while courses taught in English are listed in Study Programmes and Courses in English.
