The Origo Helpdesk provides students with an environment for working and studying accompanied by information desk services. Origo is located in the facilities of the library and Learning Centre in the 7th building of the university. The main entrance is through the library, and the info desk is on the 4th floor at the top of the spiral staircase.
Origo has 100 computers for independent work, and students are free to use the computer classrooms (Cosini and Sini) when they are not reserved for instruction. The facilities also include a 24-hour reading area.
In Origo, you can e.g.
- Get help on your IT problems
- Take your maturity test
- Take exams arranged with the exam aquarium application
- Borrow e.g. laptops or AV and data recording equipment for studies
Normal helpdesk open hours during the semesters:
- Mon-Thu from 8.30 to 18.00
- Fri from 8.30 to 15.30
Libary staff is on duty at Origo on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays at 10 am - 12 am.
Language Centre staff is on duty at Origo on Tuesdays at 4 pm - 6 pm.
In 2012 Origo is closed in addition to the public holidays on the following days:
- The day before May Day 30.4.2012
- The Friday after Ascension Day 18.5.2012
- Two weeks in the summer 9.7.-22.7.2012.
- The Friday after Independence day 7.12.2012
- The week between Christmas and New Year's Eve 27.-31.12.2012 (closed from 22.12.2012 to 1.1.2013)
