Refund on the faculty print-out quota ( 19.9.2011 )
As a result of negotiations between the Student Union and faculties, students who have started their studies before autumn 2011 will be refunded the remainder of their expired faculty print-out quota, but no more than 9 euros. For example, if the remainder was 5 euros before the quota expired, the student will receive an additional 5 euros in his or her current printing quota. If the remainder was 9 euros or more, the student will receive a refund of 9 euros.
The refunded print-out quota is similar to print-out quotas purchased by the student and will start to run after the 9-euro quota for this semester has been used up.

Printing quota paid by faculties
Undergraduate and postgraduate students and exchange students of Lappeenranta University of Technology who have registered as attending for the academic year are entitled to a printing quota paid by their faculty.
The quota is assigned to the student automatically after the registration period for the academic year has closed.
Students who register in the middle of the semester must apply for the quota themselves from Printing Services under Information Services and Technology ( tulostuspalvelut(a)lut.fi ).
The printing quota is 9 euros/student/semester.
The quota amount is always set to zero before the quota of the following semester is assigned. After the registration deadline, all students registered as attending for the autumn semester 2011 will receive a printing quota worth 9 euros paid by their faculty.
Additional printing quotas purchased by students
Students may also buy additional printing quotas from the Aalef bookstore at the university. The price includes 23 % value added tax. The amount exclusive of VAT will be added to the student’s printing quota.
Quotas purchased by students will not automatically be set to zero after the semester. In the calculation of the remaining quota amount for autumn 2011, the faculty-paid quota, quotas purchased by the student and print-outs made by the student will all be taken into account.
