The examination process of a doctoral dissertation officially starts when the manuscript of the dissertation and the application for permission to publisch the thesis has been submitted to the Research and Innovation Services to the Study Affairs Secretary Eeva Häyrinen (room 1535). The application and four (4) copies of the manuscript must be submitted two weeks before the Dissertation Committee meeting in which the matter is discussed. The committee will give a statement on each dissertation manuscript before the faculty council sets the examination process in motion, i.e. appints the prelimininary examiners. After the meeting of Dissertation Committee the Faculty Council appoints the preliminary examiners.
