Research
LUT Savo carries out research on material and energy technologies in the cities of Mikkeli, Varkaus and Savonlinna in Eastern Finland. The research concentrates on sustainable technologies which consume less energy and fewer limited resources, use renewable resources, do not directly or indirectly pollute the environment, and can be reused or recycled. Technology research at LUT Savo takes a holistic approach to the know-how, business and social aspects of the research area.
Develop
The objective is to strengthen the current level of sustainable technology know-how and the activity of companies in the field. Long-term applied research and development promotes the creation of new sustainable technology related business activities and employment.
Teach
Professors of unit teach at courses in main campus of LUT and graduate schools from the field of their expertise and supervise MSc and DSc students.
