A research group of the YTI Research Centre of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences operates in the facilities of the FiberLaboratory in Savonlinna. The research group primarily works on the EU-funded project Managing lifecycle profits in processing industry.
The project aims at establishing and strengthening the operation of the YTI Research Centre in Savonlinna, as well as strengthening expertise in managing life cycle profits in the processing industry in Savonlinna. The project is a part of the Southeast Finland Centre of Expertise Network and the Forest Industry Future cluster of expertise, under the theme Fibre Energy Life Cycle.
Partners in cooperation also include Andritz, Honeywell, WetEnd Technologies and Aquaflow. These companies have their own equipment in the FiberLaboratory and share sponsors and research projects.
