The core of FiberLaboratory is the pilot plant where piloting and mill-scale trial runs on pulp can be conducted. The pilot plant consists of different loops: a medium consistency loop, a low consistency loop, a Deculator loop, a Trumpjet Mixing loop, and washing and filtering loops.
The basic idea is that a machine is brought to the pilot plant for testing and connected to some of the loops for a trial run.
