FRinova is the Finnish-Russian Open Innovation Platform which is created for the promotion of the mutual, productive interaction between universities and small and medium size enterprises in the Finnish-Russian university collaboration environment. The main target is to develop R&D ecosystem in the border region of Russia and Finland by promoting principles of open research, education and business collaboration between Finnish and Russian universities in the fields of technology, business studies and design.
FRinova has been created based on the common project of Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and the National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO) for the improvement of collaboration between Finnish and Russian universities and SMEs. By means of FRinova platform researchers, professors and students of academic world could easily communicate with representatives of companies and as the result have common research projects, change their knowledge in the special area of expertise, make new know-how and even discoveries.
FRinova platform is the unique instrument for all people who would like to get the last information related to funding opportunities in Finland (EU) and Russia, main reforms in the education and business in both countries, fresh ideas and new collaborations.
