Promotion of the Finnish Energy Business in Northwest Russia 


Interreg III A project FRESCO aims at studying the possibilities and potential of ESCO business (Energy Service Company) in Northwest Russia. Other objectives are building the contact network for Finnish energy enterprises in the destination area, co-operation strategy for promotion of optional energy source utilization and Finnish technology export, and finally a prepared model for ESCO business in Northwest Russia for Finnish companies. Project’s duration: 10/2003 - 12/2005.

Studies prepared in the FRESCO project

- "Investigation on additional modern legislation about energy saving and investments"
      The study was accomplished by Russian authority and expert (Baltgosenergonadzor). 03/2005.
- "The Impact of Carbon Finance on the Feasibility of ESCO Operations in Northwest Russia". The study was accomplished by GreenStream Network Ltd. 02/2005
- "Applied technology in energy production, distribution and end-use, and future technological trends". The study was accomplished by Enprima Ltd. 10/2004.
- "ESCO Companies in Northwest Russia, Legal Issues and Organizational Schemes". The study was accomplished by Etlatieto Ltd. and Solid Invest Ltd. 05/2004.
