The Department of Chemistry LUT provides education for experts of the future in the fields of chemistry, chemical technology and wood processing technology. Graduates find careers in the process and forest industries, the world of business and the public sector.
The department boasts high-level international research with separation technology and fibre and paper technology as the key areas.
Accredited degree programmes
Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes in Chemical Engineering are EUR-ACE®- and ASIIN-accredited degree programmes. EUR-ACE® and ASIIN are European quality labels for engineering degree programmes at the Bachelor and Master level. The accreditation was based on an intensive self-assessment of the programmes and an on-site visit by a review team in November 2010. The accreditation was carried out by the German organisation ASIIN.
