Applied research in wood processing industry 

Applied research in wood processing industry is mainly conducted by research groups within the fields of fibre technology, pulp technology, and paper converting. The field is characteristically highly applied, and a significant proportion of the research is conducted in close cooperation with the Finnish forest industry. The currently on-going transition within the forest industry poses new challenges to research, which these research groups are seeking solutions for.
