The thesis (30 cr) is a research project, which is part of the advanced studies. It usually requires about six months’ work.
The author of the thesis also has to pass a maturity test, which is a written essay related to the topic of the thesis. The purpose of the maturity test is to assess the student's mastery of the subject. More information about the maturity test.
Graduation
When the thesis has been assessed and accepted by the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and the student has passed all the required courses, he/she can apply for the Acceptance of Degree (Master of Science in Technology).
There is a graduation ceremony, usually once a month, where Rector hands out the diplomas.
