Our engineering experts are internationally renowned for effectively responding to the demand of redesigning energy use systems with the objective of saving energy. As the world is fighting climatic change, the global demand for pro-environmental electrical power engineering is ever increasing. In industry and society, there is a real need for specialists in electrical engineering educated to support innovation and able to develop, design and apply new energy use solutions.
In interactive cooperation with prominent Finnish companies, LUT’s laboratories of Electrical Engineering research and develop new power electronic drive solutions, such as permanent magnet motor drives, windmill applications, high-speed technology, intelligent data transfer systems in power electronics and condition monitoring systems for industrial use.
Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes in Electrical Engineering are EUR-ACE®- and ASIIN-accredited engineering degree programmes (the labels were awarded on 28 June 2011). The quality labes are certificate of high-quality engineering education, international recognition of the degrees and a guarantee of continuous development of education.
