Modular control technology of power electronic devices

The target of the research project is to develop an efficient logic circuit implementation model for a control system of a power electronic device. Thanks to their modifiability, logic circuits provide flexibility to implement embedded intelligence. The full utilization of the technology requires applied research both in the circuit algorithm development and in the context of development and testing tools.
Research network in the Forest Cluster
The project identifies research and educational needs related to the process analytics, process control and condition monitoring in the forest industry. A further target is to establish and support a collaborative network in South-East Finland and to link it to the national forest cluster network in the above fields of industrial automation. The project is funded by the State Provincial Office of Southern Finland, the ESF (European Social Fund) and the City of Lappeenranta.
