Professor's greeting
Expertise in environmental issues has become a necessity within the past decades. A price has been put on greenhouse gas emissions, which has led to enormous business opportunities related to controlling climate change. Managing industrial and community by-product flows innovatively allows us to create new raw material resources from what has traditionally been labelled as waste. In order to secure their licence to operate, businesses must be increasingly sensitive to their stakeholders demands.
The Degree Programme in Environmental Technology offers a unique opportunity to address these environmental issues locally and internationally. This Master’s Degree Programme in Environmental Technology is a truly multidisciplinary one. The studies focus on environmental technology, but additionaly, there are significant number of related courses in the fields of technology, economics, management and law.
We also provide an international Degree Programme in Bioenergy Technology. All the courses are held in English.
We are very committed to conduct research on environmental issues. We have long-standing research cooperations with universities worldwide and with various international and Finnish businesses. Our cooperation network is extensive, thanks to our annual conferences – the National Seminar on Air Pollution Control and the National Waste Recovery Days, serving as an effective platforms for sharing knowledge and experiences.
We are the youngest, yet the most efficient and innovative degree programme in our university. You are more than welcome to join our progressive group!
