Aims and Areas of Expertise 


The aim of the programme is to educate and train students in environmental issues, management and technology leading to the Degree of Masters of Science.

Expertise in environmental technology requires knowledge of different disciplines. Thus, the studies are composed of environmental technology, environmental economics and management. In addition, students may include studies in business, industrial management and chemical technology as complementary courses. The programme is conducted in close cooperation with the Degree Programme in Energy Technology.

Specialists in environmental technology aim to solve issues of current interest. As such, they are skilled specialist addressing and finding solutions and new ideas on issues like; conservation of energy, materials and natural resources; efficient and economical waste and water resource management; low-emission production; harnessing renewable energy sources; and importantly, life-cycle thinking application in order to improve energy and material efficiency and reduce environmental impacts.
