People today should do their best to save natural resources, be aware of what the environment tolerates and of the environmental impacts of their activities. International agreements and legislations oblige businesses, communities and private citizens to take environmental issues into account in their everyday activities. While environmental awareness of consumers is increasing, environmental issues have become sources of competitive advantage for businesses.
Environmental Technology is an extensive field that combines the management and development of community industry production and service processes through the use of environmental impact indicators. Research in Environmental Technology is conducted within the framework for the university’s instruction and research while taking into account the significant effect of energy issues.
Environmental Technology education was initially incorporated in university's Energy Technology studies in early 1990 but eventually it became a separate Degree Programme in 2000.
