The Master’s Degree Programme in Energy Technology leads to the degree of Master of Science in Technology (120 ECTS credits). The programme starts yearly at the end of August or beginning of September, and contains three semesters of course work (90 ECTS credits). The Master’s thesis, 30 ECTS, is conducted during the fourth semester.
DEGREE STRUCTURE:
- General Studies 21 ECTS cr:
The general studies are the same and obligatory to all students studying on the programme.
- Major Subject Studies 29-32 ECTS cr:
The major courses of the 4 majors of the programme are listed below.
- Minor Subject 20 (min.) ECTS cr:
The student is recommended to choose one of the minor subjects offered by the degree programme in Energy Technology. Alternatively to the major and minor subject combination as recommended in the table below, the student may choose any of the minor subjects offered by the degree programme in Energy Technology
- Elective Studies 17-20 ECTS cr:
To attain the full degree amount of 120 ECTS credits the student needs to take additional courses. Elective studies can include any courses taught in English at LUT if the required prerequisites are completed.
