The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) is one of the leading Finnish education and research institutes specialising in the design of mechanical engineering structures, welding technology and modelling of multi-technical systems.
Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes in Mechanical Engineering are EUR-ACE®- and ASIIN -accredited degree programmes. EUR-ACE® and ASIIN are quality labels for engineering degree programmes at the Bachelor and Master level. The accreditation was based on an intensive self-assessment of the programmes and an on-site visit by a review team in December 2011. The accreditation was carried out by the German organization ASIIN.
