Finnish and international university students, as well as applicants with a vocational diploma or Bachelor’s degree in engineering are eligible for the Master’s programme in Technical Physics provided by the Laboratory of Physics .
Applying to Master’s Programmes in Mathematics and Physics
Applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree. Technical Physics is chosen as the major subject. The major studies are part of a Master's programme in English, which has its own application period annually in January-February. Graduates from the programme obtain the degree of Master of Science in Technology in two years, after studies amounting to 120 ECTS credits.
If the Bachelor’s degree studies are completed at some of LUT’s degree programmes in the field of technology, the minor subject is chosen from among the minor subject modules offered by the Laboratory of Physics. At present, the Department of Mathematics and Physics does not provide Bachelor’s programmes, only Master’s.
