Electricity trade and business involving electricity distribution networks are the focus of the research group of electrical markets, which carries out ground-breaking work that joins together technology and business. The activity of the group concentrates on the risks and market mechanisms of electricity trade, services and control policies of the electricity distribution business, and the strategic development of electricity grids. The results have been utilised in e.g. the rapidly expanding 1 kV distribution system, EMV’s financial control methods, and numerous network strategies of network companies.
