Research at the Department of Industrial Management aims to combine technology and business in topic areas important to industry. In fact, research is carried out in close collaboration with industry. The educational aim of the Department of Industrial Management is to provide students with an overview of industrial enterprises in both Finnish and international markets.
The general aim is to produce new, important knowledge through research and education, and thus increase well-being in Finland. According to the university’s strategic policy, also the Department of Industrial Management focuses on the surrounding society and its different actors in various ways. For example, students graduating from the department with the degree of Master of Science (Technology) are a significant professional resource in the surrounding region.
