Postgraduate students

The Faculty of Technology Management offers scientific postgraduate studies in the fields of Industrial Management and Information Technology. To qualify for admission to postgraduate studies, the applicants should have completed a higher university degree (Master of Science or another Master’s degree relevant to the field of research).

The objective of postgraduate studies is to complete a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree. A small proportion of the faculty’s postgraduate students apply for Ph.D. or Licentiate of Technology studies.

Applying for postgraduate studies; supervisor of postgraduate studies

At the first stage of the application process, the applicant settles the basic issues concerning the postgraduate studies (such as their supervisor, subject, and funding) with a professor. The applicant should contact the professor of the subject they intend to major in, who will also be a potential supervisor of their postgraduate studies.

The postgraduate application, prepared on the basis of the discussion, is then submitted to the faculty’s student affairs office. The applicant should, together with their supervisor, prepare a preliminary postgraduate study plan (1-2 A4s), which also includes an outline of the planned postgraduate studies, to be enclosed with the application.
