INTRODUCTION: Academic research in business and economics is based largely on statistical (econometric) analysis of research data. A number of sources for data are available to researchers. This page gives a list of the databases and other data sources available to researchers at the School of Business. Datastream: Provides a wide variety of economical and financial time series. Access through a program. Installed in computer lab 7334 (PCs marked with a sticker).

Thomson Banker One: Provides financial statement data, analysts' estimate etc. for publicly listed companies. Accessible through the internet.

Economic time series from the USA: FRED® (Federal Reserve Economic Data) is a database of over 3000 U.S. economic time series. With FRED you can download free data in Microsoft Excel and text formats and view charts of data series.
