Study possibilities for exchange students

At LUT students can easily combine technology and business studies under the same roof.

Depending on your previous studies at your home university, you can choose courses taught in English from the three LUT faculties – the School of Business, the School of Industrial Engineering and Management and the School of Technology. The majority of courses are taught at the Master's level, so students are expected to have basic degree-level knowledge of the relevant subjects.

ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) is used at LUT; 1 ECTS credits represents the workload of 26 hours including lessons, assignments, exam and homework.

It is possible to study approximately 30 ECTS credits per one semester. Minimum number of credits per semester is 20.

Course descriptions for the academic year 2016-2017 are available in the Study Guide (Courses for Exchange Students 2016-17). Course codes tell you the field of study. Codes are:

You can navigate to course descriptions via Tab 'Courses'. Courses are arranged by the teaching period. Periods 1 and 2 take place in the autumn semester and periods 3 ja 4 during spring semester.

You can find available minor studies from Study Guide 'Minor studies, 2016-17'. In tab 'Degree Structures' exists all minor studies structured according to study programmes. List of minors in English.
