University Studies for Everyone
The Open University of Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) organises and offers Open University courses in technology and business for everyone. The quality and standard of Open University courses are equivalent to those of university courses taught at LUT. Individual faculties are responsible for course contents.
Open University courses are mainly taught in Finnish. You can attend regardless of your age, educational aims or previous schooling. You can start your studies at any time of the year according to the teaching schedules of LUT.
The Open University courses are also open to foreign nationals living in Finland. However, please note that receiving the right to study on a specific Open University course does not entitle the student to residency in Finland and participating in Open University courses does not confer the right to complete an entire degree.
The fee for each course depends on the ECTS credits (EUR 10/credit).
Please see Open University study guide for further information on courses taught in English. You can register and pay the courses in LUT Shop, see products. Application period for 4th period courses (starting in March 2017) is January 23- February 19, 2017. No late registrations.
