LUT team wins an investment analysis competition

For the third time so far, the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) team won the Finnish final of the 2nd CFA Institute Research Challenge investment analysis competition.  The competition is one of the most highly-regarded in the field of investment analysis.

The Finnish final held in Helsinki in February 2014 was a part of a worldwide investment analysis competition for university students where teams of 3-5 students from different universities draw up an investment analysis for a locally listed.

The objective of the competition is to increase the interest in the field of investment among the future experts and develop the analysis skills of those intending to enter the field. The competition is divided into its local, regional and global components. The competition held in Finland was local.

Competing in the LUT's winning team were students Jaakko Nurkka, Aleksi Lehtonen, Toni Tolpo, Kishmat Sapkota and Kalle Kinnunen.
