Language Test Result in English

  • A language test result in English with at least the minimum score required
    • TOEFL iBT 80 or PBT 550
    • IELTS Academic 6.0
    • PTE Academic 54
    • C1 Advanced by Cambridge English Qualifications Grade C
    • C2 Proficiency by Cambridge English Qualifications Grade C

Validity for a Language Test Result

Your language test result has to be valid at least on the first day of the application period i.e. on December 3, 2018. All the language test results accepted by LUT are valid for two years from the date of taking the test.

When a Language Test Result is Not Required?

GMAT or GRE General Test Result (if applicable)

When applying to this programme with a

  • Degree in a field other than Business Administration, completed in a Finnish University of Sciences
  • Degree in a field other than Business Administration, completed in a University outside of Finland

  • Copy of your passport (ID page)
    Or, a copy of your official ID card indicating the nationality
    No official certification required.
  • Copy of your Finnish Residence Permit Card
    For the ones already residing in Finland and having one .  
    No official certification required.
  • Official Statement for Grading Scale (when applicable)
    If there is no official website to be indicated on the application form to verify the grading scale, the information must be included in the Transcript of Records.

Applying to Multiple Programmes
- Only Set of Documents Required

When eligible, you may apply to a maximum of

  • 2 different Master's Programmes in Technology (in English)
  • 1 Master's Programme in Business Administration (in English)

The maximum number of applications is considered separately for programmes in English and in Finnish - i.e. the ultimate maximum would be 4 programmes in Technology (2 in English + 2 in Finnish) and 2 in Business Administration (1 in English + 1 in Finnish).
 

Mailing the Hard Copies or Not?

No Country-Specific Requirements for Document Authentication

If NOT required to have your educational documents certified in a certain way based on the country where you have completed your degree, you only have to upload the officially certified documents to your application form. The uploaded copies have to bear the original verification stamps.

Hard copied for the documents do not have to be mailed to LUT University / Admissions Services.

Only applications fully documented as requested within the given deadlines will be considered for further processing.

Country-Specific Requirements for Document Authentication

If REQUIRED to have your educational documents certified according to the country-specific requirements, you must first upload an officially certified copy for your Degree Certificate and Transcript of Records (ToR). If an official ToR has to be mailed to LUT University directly from the awarding university, then you need to first upload either a student copy or a scan or photo taken from the original one. The officially certified and uploaded copies have to bear the original verification stamps. After that, you will mail the hard copies for those same documents to LUT University / Admissions Services - or, have them mailed directly from the university, when required.

Only one set of educational documents is required even when applying to more programmes than one. Remember to includ all the programme-specific documents for each programme and other required documents as well.
