Study possibilities for exchange students
At LUT students can easily combine technology and business studies under the same roof.
Depending on your previous studies at your home university, you can choose courses taught in English from the three LUT faculties – the School of Business, the School of Industrial Engineering and Management and the School of Technology. The majority of courses are taught at the Master's level, so students are expected to have basic degree-level knowledge of the relevant subjects.
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) is used at LUT; 1 ECTS credit represents the workload of 26 hours including lessons, assignments, exam and homework.
It is possible to study approximately 30 ECTS credits per one semester. Minimum number of credits per semester is 20.
A plenitude of courses in technology and business
Exchange students can apply to join a specific department, normally the one indicated in the Erasmus or other institutional agreement. However, depending on your previous studies, you may select courses from various departments and thus study a wide and multi-faceted range of studies during the exchange period. Most of the courses are at the Master's level, but there are some opportunities for Bachelor's students as well.
