According to the International Student Barometer 2017, LUT's international students are satisfied with their studies, study support services, and accommodation in Lappeenranta.
LUT and Nokia are creating a research LTE network on the LUT campus. Initially, the network will be connected to the research and education environment of the LUT Green Campus and will function as a research and testing platform for Internet of Things applications and smart grids to initiate the journey towards 5G technology.
The J. Hyneman Center (JHC) for rapid prototyping will open on the Skinnarila campus in September. It is a space for students of Lappeenranta University of Technology and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences to meet, try out different solutions and build prototypes.
"Finnish products are already outstanding, all we need to do now is to build social relations. This alone could make Finnish competitiveness soar to record heights", says new Professor Tanja Leppäaho.
