Start-up & Spin-off Factory
The Start-up & Spin-off Factory project aimed to promote the growth of innovative enterprises with an accelerator programme, in which experienced serial entrepreneurs coach entrepreneurs intending on starting a new business or spin-off for new products/markets to develop financially viable business models based on their business ideas. The goal was to promote the rapid internationalisation of growth enterprises by helping entrepreneurs to make pilots, find customers and partners, and obtain financing.
The project was realised in co-operation with Cursor, Kotka-Hamina Regional Development Company, the University of Helsinki Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education, and Turku University of Applied Sciences. LUT Kouvola's contribution to the project included assessing the business plans of enterprises participating in the project and conducting a comparative analysis of business incubators at the national and international level.
Project duration: April 2012-June 2014.
