Over 92% of LUT's international students satisfied with their student experience
According to the International Student Barometer 2017, the international students in Lappeenranta are satisfied with their studies, study support services, and accommodation in Lappeenranta.
A total of 110 000 international students from around the world responded to the survey. The respondents came from 120 higher education institutions, 32 of which were European. From Finland, the study included 15 universities and 6 650 respondents. The questionnaire was sent to 603 students at LUT, and 282 of them (47%) responded. The survey was conducted by the education consultancy i-graduate.

Students were asked about their satisfaction in learning and teaching, accommodation and living, study support services, and arrival services. The purpose of the survey was to measure student satisfaction and compare figures with other universities in the survey.
Of the international students at LUT who responded to the survey, 92.2% were satisfied with their study experience. LUT's students were extremely satisfied with the campus area and its eco-friendliness, which was ranked first in the world, Europe and Finland. Also the university's learning spaces, laboratories, online library and arrival services were ranked number one by the students.
